One of the best sources for funding the We’re Going To Change The World Tour is through the Tobacco Master Settlement Fund. Contact your local health department, or the many local health agencies ( e.g. American Heart Association, American Lung Association, American Cancer Society) to inquire about their ability to subsidize the anti-tobacco program.

Other Federal, State and Local Government Sources

There are a number of other governmental agencies that provide “Drug Free School Money” to support worthwhile school assembly programs that deal with such menacing social issues like alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Check out your local yellow pages and visit the worldwide web to see a listing of potential resources.

Vendors & Suppliers

The vendors and suppliers, who profit financially from your school’s spending, are ideal prospects. Whether it be the local bus company that transports the children, the bread or milk company that provides lunch products, or the office equipment company that sells computers, printers, fax machines etc., all of your school’s “business partners” should willingly support your efforts to bring educational/entertainment programs to your students.

Corporate Sponsorship

And, like your vendors and suppliers above, the companies in your local community welcome opportunities to demonstrate their good corporate citizenry. Many of these want to create a positive image and will subsidize worthwhile causes including educational efforts to combat tobacco, alcohol and other drugs. Make a prospect list and aggressively solicit their financial participation to support your children who, in time, will become their future customers, clients and employees
